Standard Aero is one of the world’s largest independent gas turbine engine, accessory repair and overhaul companies. Standard Aero services Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell, and General Electric engines used in regional airlines, business aviation, military, and government aircraft. Standard Aero applies cellular and lean manufacturing concepts providing “World Best” product throughput, quality, and affordability.

**ART Program**
Standard Aero has developed a unique business redesign methodology that, when applied to a maintenance, repair and overhaul business unit, will dramatically enhance the business performance, including increased throughput, reduced costs, and a much better work environment for employees.
Standard Aero has coupled this methodology with turnkey implementation services and years of operations management experience into an Affordable Readiness and Transformation (ART) program.
The ART program provides the methodology coupled with proven experience to perform operational redesigns for commercial and military customers. The program uses a proprietary methodology to enable profitable growth by dramatically improving business performance.
Company History
History:
Standard Aero was founded in 1911 as Standard Machine Works. In 1936 Standard Aero began servicing aircraft reciprocating engines and began servicing gas turbine engines in 1960 for the Canadian Forces. Since, Standard Aero has continued its growth and worldwide expansion. Standard Aero established its San Antonio operations in 1999 as part of the Kelly Air Force base privatization. Standard Aero is the second largest employer at Kelly USA and has established multiple training and educational partnerships with local community schools and universities.
